Limited Edition Prints

How are your limited edition prints structured?

  • Michael carefully curates edition sizes for his prints to help ensure the artwork’s long term value and mitigate his carbon footprint. Edition sizes are shared between all prints in a series, ensuring each print is customizable to the exact specifications of the collector. Once all prints in a series sell, no others will be created again regardless of physical print size.

  • When a limited edition print is sold, the next edition number in that series is assigned to that purchase. If interested in what number in the edition your print will be, please contact us.

How do you guarantee the quality of your work?

All limited edition prints are printed by dedicated craftsmen in a professional print house using the latest wide format printers, archival pigment inks and artisan papers. Each print also comes hand-signed & numbered, with a Certificate of Authenticity, ensuring that the included artwork represents an original Michael Zwack Limited Edition Fine-Art Photograph; Printed in a professional lab and certified accurate in its specifications.

What is the best way to care for a print?

Michael’s Limited Edition Monochrome prints are made of archival materials and will last 200+ years in proper environments, but the paper is fragile and the print should be framed soon after arriving. We don’t recommend handling an unframed print yourself, nor should it be stored in the custom shipping box for extended periods of time.

  • We advise the framer dry-mount the work on acid-free mat board using archival materials along with UV protective glass. Note that it is common for prints to be stiff when unrolling for the first time; this is expected and in no way diminishes the quality of the print.

  • Please keep prints away from direct sunlight and high humidity environments as much as possible.

Do you include Framing Services?

Whereas nothing beats a framed fine art photo hanging on the wall, many clients have different ideas on how they frame and mount their prints. With that Michael does not provide standard framing services with orders, but instead is willing to work with collectors, designers, and interested parties on an individual basis.

  • Be advised framing services will incur additional costs determined by size, shipping, and insurance, along with a longer delivery period. For framing services, Michael partners with Color Space Art and Imaging. Contact the studio to discuss a personalized quote.

Pricing

Tell us about how you price your prints…

  • Due to the structure of limited edition offerings, select images may increase in price as remaining inventory runs low. Michael’s pricing structure increases when individual print sales have reached 25%, 50%, and 75% capacity.

  • When a print is acquired closest to its release, you’re guaranteed the best pricing. Register your email for exclusive access to new series releases and best pricing. The most current pricing will always be available through our online gallery and remains consistent through most series and partner sights.

  • Since Michael utilizes a shared edition structure with his Limited Editions, the prints available online are the artist recommended sizes; for custom orders please contact us directly to discuss options as some older prints will be restricted in dimensions based on legacy camera resolutions.

Do you offer a return policy?

HOW MUCH DOES SHIPPING USUALLY COST?

Standard shipping is included in the price of your print at no extra cost. Expedited shipping is also available. Contact us for a quote. All orders are shipped via UPS, FedEx, or USPS with corresponding tracking details and insurance.

DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?

Due to cost of insurance & shipping internationally, delivery outside of the United States is restricted to unframed prints only. Please understand international delivery will require additional cost and time for the package to arrive.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY PRINT?

Due to Michael’s demanding shoot & studio requirements, all prints are shipped on the 15th of each month, unless otherwise arranged prior to printing. Unframed prints typically take two to three weeks to reach their final destination, dependent on market demand.

How are your Fine Art prints packaged?

Larger prints are wrapped around a mail tube, and protected using ph balanced archival packaging materials. The package is then secured within a custom shipping box for delivery. Smaller prints come secured in a protected custom mail envelope w/ Michael Zwack Photography official design.

*In some instances the COA may need to be mailed separately and arrive at a different date than the artwork.
